First Day

I know it was almost two months ago...that's how behind I am! The first day this year was rather low key...except that Buddy was adamant that he would wear that reunion shirt and no other that day! Ah well! Here he is clutching the classroom gift of hand sanitizer.

School is going fairly well, but there have been a few hiccups, hopefully we have tose ironed out and the rest of the year will go very smoothly.

Haircuts

A week or so before school started I took the girls to get their hair cut. Mimi has wanted a "real" haircut fr a long time (meaning more than just a trim...something with shape and style;) and Sweetsa just needed it cut to lessen the tangles I had to battle through each day. Here are the results:

A Harvest Game of Threes

We have been reaping the benefits of our little garden this summer. Here are some of our more interesting finds.

When I see this pic I think of the song, "one of these things is not like the others one of these things just doesn't belong"...can you tell which it is?

I took these pics using the same basket to help provide perspective, did it help or make it harder?

Can you tell what we harvested on our 'mini' harvest day?

Actually, it wasn't really a mini harvest day, as we harvested a lot, just some of the things were rather tiny! Our harvest yesterday included about two bushels of pears, cabbage, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, green & red peppers, anaheim peppers, and carrots. The apples we picked to see how close to being ripe they are...they aren't ready yet!
